Lost me when you didn't include a winch. You'll go to the trouble of attaching some recovery points for others to pull the vehicle out of trouble, but can't be bothered including a means of doing it yourself.

hi can I ask you the switch panel between the 12 v outlets was that standard or aftermarket.

How can I safely negotiate an extremely steep decline using a manual 4x4 vehicle while off-roading? The slope is so steep that if I take my foot off the brake, the car will roll downhill very quickly. I need to use the brake and clutch to prevent the engine from stalling, but this puts a lot of strain on the brakes and hubs and doesn't allow enough oil pumping. Should I use a heel-toe downshifting technique or blip the accelerator to manage this situation effectively without fully relying on the brakes? How can I best use first gear to control the descent without stalling the engine?

The disappointing thing is the 2 door is not available with all the safety and interior upgrades in a way cheaper basic spec you could add airlockers, arb bar and other aftermarket stuff. Like every other 2 door before it. And I didn't realise about the 95 petrol?! What the?! Where you going to buy that "remote"? Insanity.

Lc300 is not good looking as lc200. Patrol is still same but still good.

Defender is defenseless against reliable prado. Modern tweaks are countless and they cant offset reliability.

Would want to be towing 3.5T when the ball weight is added to the gvm of the mux Then say towing 2.8T And ball weight of around 280 kg Then thats 280 kg of the gvm of thd mux Then have to spend more $'s on a GVM upgrade

The 4cyl requires min of 95 / Premium fuel ,which like the Y62 Nissan is ridiculous for a Australian off roader. The base driveway price for a hardtop Rubicon is 99,000 Aud ,add options and paint and its over 100,000 Aud now. Compared to 52 k US starting price in New York seriously !

I don't know why the Pentastar 3.6L V6 is being portrayed as needing high revs and being much harder to off-road with. With the Rubicon gearing, the V6 doesn't need to work hard to crawl up steep grades and is very easy to control. While it wouldn't surprise me if the 2.0L has greater low-down torque, I doubt it "makes it a * much * easier car to drive offroad".

I have GXL. Same payload, a few more luxuries. Nice balance for me. One heck of a car. PS You can turn off the lane deviation pest. I automatically turn it off every time I get in the car.

With Toyota ruining their truck and SUVs with four cylinder engines I’m now looking at the Nissan and so sad we don’t have these programs in America.
